Rebuilding Hope on Wheels Initiatives (RHOWI), is a registered nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities especially those affected by Spinal Cord Injury/dysfunction (SCI/D). At RHOWi, we stand at the forefront of the disabled people's rights movement, dedicated to removing barriers and fostering a fulfilling life engagement for individuals with disabilities Our passionate team, composed of staff, volunteers, and partners, combines extensive knowledge with personal experiences to deliver programs and services that empower participants in our community. Our mission revolves around rebuilding hope with a focus on ability in disability.

Objective

Promoting Understanding: We strive to promote understanding, knowledge, and positive perceptions of people with disabilities, especially those affected by SCI/D. Advocating for Rehabilitation and Mental Health: RHOWi campaigns for the establishment of skilled Rehabilitation Centers and mental health services to maximize functioning, independence, overall wellbeing, and community integration.

Policy Advocacy

We actively advocate for educating policy makers on the importance and necessity of addressing healthcare problems and concerns specifics to persons with disabilities and individuals with spinal cord injuries/dysfunction

Specialized Care

We ensure that SCI/D survivors and patients in hospitals receive the best specialized care by providing advice and training for healthcare professionals.

Empowering Survivors

We promote strategies to ensure survivors are knowledgeable about their own health conditions, empowering them to take control of their well-being.

Campaigning for Accessibility
